Hey parents!

Hello parents of Paradox students!  We designed this portion of the website just for you.  We want you to know that we believe the home is where spiritual formation begins.  We are simply here to assist you in equipping your teens to follow Christ.  I hope that you will take advantage of some of the resources that we have provided for you on this site.  So browse, surf or peruse around and hopefully the information we have provided will be an aid to you.

CPYU - The Center for Parent / Youth Understanding : Yeah, that's right.  You can get some awesme stuff here. Learn what your teen faces on a daily basis and how you can help them to make the right choices.

Al Menconi : Here you can get some great reviews on reviews on popular media ranging from movies and music to today's hottest video games.  See what these guys have to say.

By Parents for Parents : This site has some great articles concerning real life issues.

4Parents : You can help your son or daughter make healthy choices about sex.  4Parents can help you talk to your child, pre-teen or teen early and often about healthy relationships, waiting to have sex, what happens as he/she grows up and other important topics.

First String : This is an organization that believes teens can make wise choices regarding sex, if they are adequately informed.  Their website will help guide you as you seek to have important conversations with your teens.

Lyrics : A popular search engine that allows you to search their complete database of song lyrics to find out what your teen is really listening to.  Warning: some lyrics are explicit.  They don't filter anything, but neither does your teen's MP3 player!

Screen It : Get the skinny on the newest movies and videos.  You can read a detailed description of the flick before you watch so you can make an educated decision.  And best of all, it's free!  (Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "no thanks" to enter the free site.)

 

Fundraisers

Kroger Cards

We have partnered with one of your favorite grocery stores to raise money for Paradox High School Ministries.  The Kroger Neighborhood Reward Program donates money to a large number of non-profit organizations based on customer purchases.  It's easy to get involved!  All you must do is continue to shop for groceries!

Purchase a refillable Rewards gift card from the church office.  These cards work just like a gift card and come loaded with $1.  Whenever you shop at Kroger, load your gift card at the guest services desk or at the checkout and use it to purchase your groceries.  Refill the card when it runs out of funds and use it over and over again.

Each time you reload your card, Kroger donates a percentage to Paradox Ministries.  It's free money for our high schoolers - just because you buy groceries!

Scrips

Parents who enroll in the Scrip program may purchase gift certificates - to stores that you would normally purchase from - that earn your teen a percentage to use toward any BCN activity they choose!  Check out the list of retailers ...it's huge!  Get your enrollment form here or contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
